Sunrise Summer Kick-Off

A bit beyond our usual purview, we included this three-session event fusing food, cooking, art and nature for kids from six to 11 because it sounded so much darn fun. The kids will create salads, sushi, sorbets, smoothies and more as well as explore the garden and creating artwork. You’ll need to pre-register: vancouver.ca/parks/parks/vandusen

The World’s Largest Gathering of Alices

Here’s your chance to help set a world record. Vancouver’s Community Arts Workshop Society is trying to bring together the largest gathering of people dressed as Alice in Wonderland ever assembled. Port Moody Station Museum – 123rd anniversary of the first trans-Canada passenger train
