Saturn 5 Saturday Rocket Construction Program
Saturday, July 25th, 11:30 am – 2:30 pm, HR MacMillan Space Centre, 1100 Chestnut Street, Vancouver
It’s going to be a blast at the space centre as kids build and blast off their own rockets. All you need to bring is an empty two-litre bottle, they’ll provide everything else you need. There’ll also be other activities and crafts and giveaways from White Spot: www.hrmacmillanspacecentre.com
Caribbean Days Festival
Saturday, July 25th & Sunday, 26th, various times, Waterfront Park, Lonsdale Quay, North Vancouver
There’s heaps of festive fun at this much-anticipated annual event put on by the Trinidad & Tobago Cultural Society of BC including a parade, live dance and music performances, great food and a family zone with face painting, a children’s playground and more: www.caribbeandays.ca
Mount Pleasant Pool Celebration
Saturday, July 25th, Noon – 3 pm, Mount Pleasant Pool, 3161 Ontario Street, Vancouver
The community will be celebrating Vancouver’s last outdoor neighborhood pool with free swimming, a BBQ, live music and cake: vancouver.ca
Country Fest
Saturday, July 25th, 10 am – midnight & Sunday, July 26th, 10 am – 6 pm, Maple Ridge Fairgrounds, 23448 – 105th Avenue, Maple Ridge
This free fair, formerly known as the Maple Ridge Fair, celebrates rural living with 4-H youth shows, baby animal displays, horse shows, sheep dog demos, a fairway and kids performers Neal Bacon, Lucy Potatoe and Will Stroet: www.mrpmcountryfest.com
