Another (hot) summer long weekend is upon us, and that means lots of travelling. And the 5th Edition of the Lonely Planet’s Travel with Children has just been released. Admittedly it came out a little later than they’d hoped, but it’s still just in time to make the rest of your summer travels a little easier.

Craft fairs are fab places for finding one-of-kind gifts and goodies, but the hard-core craft fair season won’t hit town for a few more months. ‘Til then if you’re on the hunt for something unique, local and crafty then look no farther than 3H Craftworks.
A long time staple on 4th Avenue, the not-for-profit 3H Craftworks [...]

Vancouver has heaps to offer in the way of family entertainment, for visitors and city dwellers alike. But with the summer holidays upon us, when we’re in the city we’re constantly thinking of ways to entertain our little darlings. This week we’re just hitting a few highlights around what’s happening this weekend. We’ll be back with a full listing of events next week, so in the meantime enjoy the sunshine, slather on the sunscreen and have fun.
where are they now: live for tomorrow

At the end of last summer we discovered Live for Tomorrow’s local line of laundry products cunningly packaged in reusable glass dairy bottles. And now they’ve expanded their green cleaning oeuvre.
where are they now: babyeats

When Babyeats launched last summer we were intrigued by the new concept combining a large play area with a small cafĂ© serving local and organic food. Owner and mama-of-two, Rachel Dempster, has re-imagined things a little and now Babyeats is all grown up and has been rebranded as Munch, the Family Restaurant. Along with the new name comes a new menu, and it’s delicious and very grown up except for the kid-friendly options (of course!). And they’re licensed now too.

We’re taking a little break this week but we didn’t want to leave you without your yoyos, so we’ll be looking back at products and places we’ve previously discovered to see what they’ve been up to since we first covered them.
