When Jessica Jacobs, the mama behind the scenes at Little Soles, decided to expand her line of infant and children’s shoes to include shoes for babes, she was surprised to find that there aren’t a lot of safety regulations around baby footwear. In fact, your baby’s toys are subject to more stringent safety regulations than their shoes. It seems that Health Canada assumes that babies will put their toys in their mouths, but not their shoes.
