Wow, it’s a super busy weekend with lots of ongoing Earth Day celebrations, so many Birds on the Bay events that we couldn’t list them all, but be sure to check their site plus there are MS Walks happening all around BC on Sunday. And if you and your tot aren’t busy tomorrow morning, we’d love your help for an hour or so. We’re teaming up with 24 Hours Vancouver to try and win a wave (valued at $20K – that’s not in our budget alas!) so that we can help sponsor Chip’s Not Dead Yet Memorial Mile. It’s all in support of BC Children’s Hospital

Speaking of Earth Day we blogged about some great Earth Day sales yesterday, and some of them are still ongoing. We’re still looking for your swimming pool feedback as well.  Okay, on to the events:

Ocean Construction Supplies Open House
Saturday, April 25th, 9 am – 5 pm, Ocean Construction Supplies, Granville Island, Vancouver

Earth Day for the Whole Family

9th Annual Earth Day Event @ Everett Crowley Park

We think it’s great that Earth Day festivities span an entire week or more, and this much-anticipated event at Everett Crowley Park – which was once Vancouver’s landfill – includes a performance by Bobs & Lolo at 11:30 am, a chance to do some planting and peruse educational booths full of info on how to make small changes to protect the environment: www.earthday.ca

Anne Glover String Show

Artists in our Midst

At first glimpse Artists in our Midst, where the public are invited to visit artists in their studios, isn’t particularly child-friendly. But when you consider that many of the studios have little tables set up for kids to draw at, every venue has a bathroom and it’s a great opportunity to show your tots where and how art is created, well then, it suddenly seems like more a family event. Canstruction Vancouver 2009
