I think this is a fabulous idea and plan to get a subscription! I enjoyed watching the news clip that shared ideas for a Greener Birthday party. The paper loot bags with nature activities is such a better gift than the dollar store throw-aways!
I love that the crafts each month are multi-age focused, as I have two girls that will want to be crafty.
The birthday party tree favors- the spruce seedling- is a fantastic idea!
What a fantastic way to teach kids about caring for the environment and having them personally, positively, make an impact.
I just love the Bamboo Hooded Enclosed Wrap for Baby! All warm and snug after bath with no effort :) I tried to join the facebook group, but the link is not working…
I also think it is the best idea ever to dedicate trees to your child’s teachers to thank them for helping your child grow! I bookmarked their page and will be heading back to read some more. I do know though, I will defenatly not be giving my child’s teacher any stuffed flowers or candy when he starts school in Sept!
We love trees :)
Ohhhhh!! Not fair, to early in the morning….
I cant get enough of bamboo. I love the kimono sets and the bath hat and socks. I am having twins so these things are such a treat. Also for mom the nursing pads look great.
The party projects look great. When my little ones are old enough I totally plan on subscribing. What a nice thing for them to receive there very own surprises in the mail. I am definitely telling my friends about this one.
I love the birthday party tree favors, how cute!
On the Craft Caravan website, The Fire Fighter Finger Puppets are such an adorable idea!
Bamboobino: My son would love those fitted sheets!
I have been anxiously waiting for my niece’s fourth birthday so I could sign her up for Craft Caravan’s monthly crafts. I honestly can’t think of a better birthday gift than that!
I haven’t seen a hooded bath towel that attaches to mom/dad before. What a fantastic idea!!
Thanks Bamboobino!
My sister’s birthday falls on Earth Day. We decided that this year we will take the kids to plant trees as her birthday gift. Now that I’ve seen the Kenyan tree planting certificate at Love Trees I know that we need to incorporate it into our birthday festivities.
I am adopting a boy from Africa and I think that the Kenyan tree planting program is a wonderful way to educate my niece and nephew about where their cousin is coming from.
I think the Toddler Hooded Kimono Set from Bamboobino is really sweet.
The Kids Craft Club at Craft Caravan is a great idea. A fun rainy day project.
A Tree For Every Child from Love Trees is a nice idea. I like that it’s a more “local” way to offset carbon emissions and great way to get your hands dirty.
I remain a huge fan of Craft Caravan- My girls go crazy for the big green envelope that arrives every week- What more could you want mail and crafts!!
I will be checking back for green tips to be sure!
The perfect baby gift to offset all the icky pinks and blues- it will be my choice for the next baby shower.
Love the hooded kimonos at Bamboobino. Reasonable prices too.
Craft Caravan is a great site. I am an extremely crafty person so have never bought a subscription, but will likely order one as a birthday gift for my friend’s daughter this year. The newsletter is great too!
I love the ideas on lovetrees, but I find the prices quite high considering the small percentage that they donate. I will steal their idea though and give seedlings as a birthday favour at my son birthday party this year though. We can make it one of the activities at the party.
I just love the whole idea of Craft Caravan, putting everything together for you. Especially like the invitation and thank-you card kits, what a great way to get kids involved in the process around planning a party and considering the guests.
I would love to get all new bamboo washcloths and towels! I like the kids’ kimonos.
Seedlings are a neat party favor idea, and the books look nice too.
We use our bamboobino wash cloths for every bath – Chloe just loves how soft they feel on her skin!
My son just loves his Bamboobino towels that he’s had since day 1 and would love a Toddler Hooded Kimono now!
Love the Bamboo Toddler Hooded Kimono sets! Perfect for my 2 year old twins!
Love Trees: what an amazing idea for party favours! Forget playmobile, give “My First Tree, Birthday Party Favours”.
The Thank You card kit from craft caravan looks like a great way encourage kids to send thank you cards.

craft caravan… Card kits for kids!? Love it. My nephew LOVES his crafts, and what a great personal touch to have him make cards for his loved ones and friends…. great ideas.
LOVE TREES… SO true and sad about how kids are losing touch with nature at a time when we need to be most in touch! A wonderful cause! koodos to you ;)
Im interested in Bamboobino No Scratch Mittens for my baby since she’s scratching most of time because of her eczema…
There are lot of interesting projects in Craft caravan website ..i do scrapbooking !
Love trees caption “Give a tree…Plant a tree..Hug a tree” has a lot to say to everyone ….
Loved the tree favours! great idea.
I am scrap booking for my daughter now, so the “about me” scrab booking kit from Craft Caravan is a great starter kit. The Bamboo Fitted sheets are awesome from Bamboobino. And the wealth of information on the Love Trees site is absolutely wonderful..I learned a lot and the planting guide is great.
I love the bamboobino hood wrap for baby bathtime, so cute! I know the bamboo cloth is so soft, so this must be super cozy for a little ones transition from the warm bath to their jammies. The card making kits are a great idea for all ages! I know a few small fries to gift a set too! As a former tree planter, what a fabulous idea ‘Love Trees’ is, great way to bring awareness to children.
I liked the fitted sheets and the nursing pads at Bamboobino.
Absolutely love the hooded kimono and the hooded enclosed wrap – they are just too cute! I also think the after bath hat, beanie hat and socks are useful and adorable!
What great ideas Craft Caravan has come up with – a fantastic way to introduce kids to crafting. I particularly enjoy the card making kits as well as the party projects!
Love Trees is a great site – very informative and inspiring! I really like the My First Tree birthday party favours – great idea…so much better than the standard ‘knick knacks’ that people give away at parties that end up leaving a big carbon footprint.
I love the idea that Craft Caravan’s craft for may is to grow something. So cool. My 2 and half year old would love it.
The Love Trees concept is awesome. My son is not in preschool or daycare, but I am still thinking of ways I can give it as a gift.
I love bamboo. The parent and toddler matching bath mitts are very cool and are my first choice of the Bamboobino products, but I also like the bedding, baby socks, and washcloths.
Bamboo is sooo soft..lovin the sheets and fitted towels from Bamboobino!
Love the idea of kids making their own thank you cards. Great way to help them to better appreciate what they receive. Great idea Craft Caravan!
The toddler kimono looks great!
Who doesn’t love trees?! Wonderful program for helping keep us all connected to the environment.

the lovetrees site is fabulous. some great ideas for kids to have hands-on fun while learning to appreciate and respect our natural world.
crartcaravan offers some great ideas for rainy days and indoor playdates.
I love bamboo products for the softness and environment-friendly factor. My 2-year-old has very sensitive skin, she can not wear anything other than cotton and bamboo.
Bamboobino – oh, the Bamboo Baby Gift Basket would be a great baby shower gift!
Craft Caravan – a novel idea! Not only do they get to experience the fun of doing a different craft each month, but they also get to look forward to receiving something in the mail!
Love Trees – I really like the idea of their “A Tree for Every Child” program.
Love the basket, what a great little gift idea!
I love the “Terry Kimono with My Own Bath Mitt”, the “About Me Scrapbook Making Kit” and “The Wish Trees by Andrea Koehle Jones book”.
I love the toddler hooded towel robes on Bamboobino. My daughter would never take it off!
I love the craft caravan idea of the monthly craft subscription and I’ll sign up for this when my daughter is older. She would love receiving items in the mail and she loves making crafts with me.
I have a suggestion for them though. I would love to see a gallery of past month’s projects to get a better feel of what I would receive each month. And, maybe they should consider selling extra kits from past months. I saw comments from a mom about the windchime kit and I would love to order that.
Bamboobino – I love the Toddler Hooded Kimono Set and the fitted sheets. They look so soft & cuddly.
Craft Caravan – The Firefighter Finger puppets are so cute. But I think my son would love the train whistles.
Love Trees – I like the “A Tree For Every Child” program. It’s a wonderful idea donating seedlings to schools across North America.
Oooh, I love the Toddler Hooded Kimono Set, that would be so cozy for my son after his bath! he would love it!

the Love Trees “my first tree” b-day party favors are a great idea!
i love the Craft Caravan “about me” scrapbook for kids to save their first childhood memories about themselves.
The washcloths are amazing. Such an amazingly better alternative to disposable wipes. Economic as well as planet-friendly in so many ways! Not to mention oh so soft on my baby’s sweet tush.
Wow, I would have Adored this as a child. My little one is still under a year so it won’t be on my agenda yet, but I will keep this site in My Faves to use in the future because it is such an amazing idea!
As I perused the lovetrees site, I happened across the item “1st birthday party favors.” As I am planning my daughter’s first birthday party for next month I am intrigued by this idea. What a great way to start children off thinking about the environment and caring about our planet. The book The Wish Trees seemed like quite an educational object as well. Books are huge in my family and I read to my daughter every single day, so I’m always on the lookout for good book ideas.
I love the fitted sheets and bath towels at bamboobino :)
I like the idea of the “anytime card kits” from craftcaravan!
I think giving trees away as a wedding favor is such a great idea!
Those bamboo fitted sheets would be great! The bamboo washcloths would be very soft for bath time.
The about me scrapbook making kit would be a great activity to do!
The Wish Trees would be a great book to share…
The Bamboo Hooded Enclosed Wrap for Baby sounds great! Snug as a bug in a super absorbent all natural towel…cant get any better than that!
The Anytime card kit sounds great. It’s always nice receiving something when un expected!
My First Tree birthday party favors are a great idea! They help introduce as well as get others that are unaware, actively involved. I will definitely be buying these for goodie bags!
I thought that the bathing line at Bamboobino was adorable so comfy and snug, it’s such a stresful time for little baby to come out of the water after their bath and getting dressed, to be wraped in the lovely Bamboobino collection would make it all more pleasent
I would love love love Bamboobino’s Toddler Hooded Kimono Set for my daughter, and washcloths for me. I already have a few bamboo washcloths and know how soft and absorbent they are.
Thanks yoyomamma for introducing craftcaravan, one thing i was looking forward to since my pregnancy was making crafts with my baby once she would be old enough, craftcaravan makes that easy and fun, love the cards kits
What a wonderful business lovetrees is with so many resources and projects to both protect our planet and reconnecting children and young families to trees, it really is wonderful, what i like about it is that its project teaches children that they can take steps, to make positive changes
I love the idea of wish trees and of first tree party favours, much better options than what most people would get, our kids already have so many toys! Great lovetrees
The bamboobino fitted sheets are great so warm for babies so they can sleep longer!!! Great for parents too then!
craftcaravan’s about me scrap book is a wonderful project to have with your child, and they hook you up with all the equipment so it will actually get done!
I loved the party projects at craftcaravan, lots of great ideas for busy moms!
I love soft for my baby and bamboobino seems to have plenty to chose from, what a sweet and cute company!
I loved looking up all the duifferent projects on craftcaravan and particularly the party projects, so many ideas for fun for busy moms!
Lovetrees is great, it connects children to nature, which is a difficult thing to do for moms that live in the city and a great loss for kids that love nature and learning first hand about it, really loved all their projects, also positive teaching opportunities through fun
From craftcaravan I loved the about me scrapbook, they provide all the materials so it actually will get done, and be personal and unique really great
What a nice idea to give trees to children – and even adults, and help them become more aware of the importance of protecting our planet. I will keep in mind the idea of giving seedlings to birthday partys and other anniversaries.
My daughter is too young at the moment, but next year I will definitely join the Kids Craft Club. I love crafts, and I love receiving mail! I’m sure my daughter will too.
I love crafts and love doing them with my children, making cards is a great idea especially cards they can sends to grandparents and family members far away
The bambooino kimono are adorable, and i know that their cloths are really soft and absorbent from having some of their products already.
I love the tree party favours will use them when my daughter party comes up. This company gives many opportunities to children to learn to love nature and to respect and protect their environment
Love the Bamboobino washcloths and kimono sets. The tree favours are a great idea for a birthday party, offers a great “teachable moment” for our young ones, and helping the environment.
I just added Love Trees to my Favourites! What a great site! It’s great that it’s Canadian! I love the Kids and Trees I just added Love Trees to my Favourites! What a great site! It’s great that it’s Canadian! I love the Kids and Trees section!section! I really like the Craft Caravan “About Me” scrapbook for kids to save all of their childhood memories. I LOVE the Bamboobino socks with the little pandas on them! How cute! I am going to buy some bamboo fitted sheets for my sons crib! I wish they made Queen size ones for me. I will also be ordering some washcloths. They are a great price!
All very interesting stuff. Using bamboo as a more sustainable material than cotton… I never knew. I will remember the Crafts Caravan idea for when my son gets old enough to do crafts. And the Love Trees… I agree that kids have lost touch with nature… I have consciously tried to get my young son outside as much as possible to muck about in the grass, in the soil… to look at the birds and look way up at the trees. Nice to connect the two in a way that has such a positive impact.
Bamboobino – what a delightful site. I am a Nana who loves to spend on my grandchildren, I have 2 granddaughters and one surprise on the way. I like to purchase quality items and plan to get the kimonos, Inda Bears and I think my daughter will enjoy the nursing pads, this will be her first child. I like to use products that are sustainable and economical – this site is bookmarked for future gifts!
Craft Caravan – what a terrific idea! I love to do crafts with my 2 year old granddaughter and 8 year old step – granbaby but never seem to have everything I need in one place. This will serve 2 purposes, both girls will get ‘mail’ and they will have everything needed for the next Crafty Nana day!
Love Trees – again a delightful site that I plan to visit often. Great party ideas, I think everyone at the baby shower will get a baby tree, lol. I know my granddaughters will love to plant and care for their trees and we can plant them around their new playhouse Daddy is building. The book looks absolutly lovely and I will be ordering a lot of them. I prefer to give books as gifts, educational, fun and a lasting treasure
I love the soft and smart products at Bamboobino. My daughter knows it is bath time as soon as she slips into her bath wrap and even after so many washes the bamboo wash cloths are still so soft and don’t look ratty at all. Craft Caravan is so cute. I think it is great to subscribe and look forward to a new craft in the mail each month!
Would love some bamboo fitted sheets for my little girl.
I have to admit to not being a very crafty momma. I think the monthly deliveries from Craft Caravan would be a good way to inspire and also make sure we make time for crafts at our house. I think I could have fun with it (my daughter definitely would)I just need a little help =).
i LOVE the bamboobino socks! they fit perfectly – they actually stay in place without cutting off circulation to baby’s feet. i think i must have at least 8 pairs ranging from 0-6 through 12-18 months. just bought the fitted sheet at the yaletown fair, and i really like it…i’m not sure if it’s coincidence or not, but my son’s started to sleep on his tummy with his cheek snuggled into the fabric :-)
I really want the Bamboo After-Bath Hat for Baby. I already use the washcloths and LOVE them!!
I would try out the Thank you Card Kit, since I think thanking people for gifts is very important and I want to teach my kids that right off the bat.
I would buy the book The Wish Trees, since I just started my book collection for my new baby and it needs to keep growing.
Hi everyone! Just checking in mid-month on the contest. Thank you all for the wonderful comments – so great to hear from so many thoughtful mums out there! Thank you all also for jumping in so enthusiastically by joining our Facebook groups and newsletter.
I don’t know if this is a coincidence with Earth Day around the corner, but my 3-year old daughter has started hugging the neighbourhood cherry blossom trees! I’m convinced it’s because she’s so enchanted when reading The Wish Trees…
Anyway, keep the entries coming, and good luck! Sharon
I just got back from planting trees with school children in Africa and I’m so happy to see all of your comments here – thanks for your support!
Happy Earth Day!

I am very impressed that the company is both working with kids locally to love/grow trees as well as working in Kenya to provide those people with sustainable self-help.
The entire site is great (I book marked it!); I especially like the party project section. My daughter would be THRILLED to have monthly crafts (Mom isn’t that crafty.).
