And remember to take Sunday’s BMO Bank Of Montreal Vancouver Marathon into account when you’re planning your travels, it will affect downtown, Stanley Park and the West side.

We’ve been watching and waiting for the Whole Foods on Cambie at 8th to open for what seems like forever and today the wait is over. We did get a sneak peek at the store ahead of time and we’re happy to report it wholly lived up to our expectations.

With all the lawn signs and happy, positive commercials (grin) popping up, it is hard not to know we have a provincial election on May 12th. But did you know that we also have a referendum on our electoral system? We’ll be choosing between the current First Past the Post and Single Transferable Vote (BC-STV). The 160 voters on the Citizens’ Assembly recommended BC-STV, after a year spent talking to British Columbians and studying electoral systems.

Have you ever watched a child sneeze all over a toy or play with it with hands that were just in their nose and then your tot toddles over right afterwards and picks it up? While we can’t – and probably shouldn’t – run around spraying everything with disinfectant spray before they touch it, there is no doubt that after a particularly messy playdate the toys in your home could use a good once over. Which is why we were eager to put Dapple’s Toy and Surface Cleaner through its paces.
