health on hand

You’re heading off to the doctor for your brand new babe’s first check up and your diaper bag is stocked with diapers, wipes, a receiving blanket, a change of clothes, a rattle and all the other necessities you might possibly need – and there are many – but don’t forget to pop in your HealthPod Baby. This handy dandy binder system encased in a hard-wearing nylon cover that zips shut, will help keep even the most frazzled new mama organized and on top of her baby’s health.

But don’t wait ’til you’ve had your baby to snag one, you can get started on your HealthPod habit by recording your prenatal visits and test results. And once your babe makes an appearance, use it to chart their feeding and sleeping as well as distinguishing features such as birth marks. It even has space for you to “finger print” their hands and feet and includes a spot for a hair sample too in case – and let’s hope you never need it – you need to conduct a DNA test.

A Canadian creation, the HealthPod Baby, was dreamed up by three mums who saw the need for a product that would let you record all your baby’s health info in one place. Become a pod person and whip yours out to access your child’s complete health history. It’s invaluable if you’re visiting a new doctor or a specialist. And as your tiny baby becomes a busy tot, use it to keep track of everything from growth spurts to immunizations to dentist visits.

And you may not believe us now, but as well as a valuable tool you’ll rely upon when your tot is little, in years to come your HealthPod may well be as cherished as any baby book listing first smiles, first steps and first teeth. Of course, that’s assuming you have time to make a baby book.
