Well, over at Bugalug they’ve obviously been putting their SavvyMom Mom Entrepreuner of the Year for the Prairies Award to good use developing fun, functional new products which are bound to lighten up your babe’s hair for spring.
We’ve always liked Bugalug’s barrettes, but our new pash is for their pony loops. More stylish and as functional – or more – than anything you’ll find at the drugstore, pony loops somehow manage to keep everything from fine toddler hair to thicker, big-girl hair in place. They’re also hard-wearing, easy-in and easy-out, resulting in less tears and hair pulling. Plus each one comes in a funky, unique pattern that makes every ponytail pop.
They’ve also just added the Starbright to their barrette oeuvre, bringing bling to spring with lots of sparkles. Pair these with pony loops for serious girly style. Our tots love these, but baby-fine hair can get caught in the raised covering, so you need to exercise a little bit of caution when putting them in and taking them out.
And if you’d like Easter to be a little bit less about chocolate, include Bugalug’s handmade Easter bunny card in your baby’s basket. Each ear holds one of their classic barrettes.

Earth, earth, baby: We wanted to remind you that tomorrow night it’s time to switch off for earth hour, wherever you live the plan is to switch off your lights for one hour at 8:30 pm. Hmm, we think that’s great timing – put the kids to bed, light some candles, and see what happens in the dark…
