hip(per) baby

4th Avenue’s baby strip has just gotten a little hipper with the re-imagining of Hip Baby. That’s right, the space that has long been known as Hip Baby is under new management by the team behind Fig Organic Kids Fashion. With eco and sustainable options for the zero to six set you’ll find lots of our favourite brands including Green to Grow BPA-free baby bottles, lovely eco-friendly clothes from Fig – soon to be rebranded as Hip Baby, Minymo and Nanoou, great wooden toys from Haba, Sweetbeets’ letterpress cards and gear from BabyBjörn and 3sprouts. And the pièce de résistance? It’s still one of the few places in town you can stock up on cloth diapers.
Though their grand reopening isn’t until March and the store is still partially under construction, the light, bright space is not just re-open for business, it’s already hopping. With lots of room for strollers and kid-friendly staff, they’re still not fully stocked so new goodies are arriving all the time. Which seems to us like a great excuse to keep popping by. They’re also going to be the only place in town stocking Natural Pod’s own line of great, locally designed toys and they’ve got plans for cloth diapering workshops in the pipeline.
And as part of the rebranding of Fig as Hip Baby, existing Fig clothes have been marked down by 25% for the next few weeks, so if you’re looking for organic clothes for your kids for less, here’s your chance to scoop them up. We love it when good things just keep getting better.
