just dotty

Mums are amazing sources of creativity, plus, in our biased experience they create some pretty great businesses, like Canadian online boutique The Polka Dot Moose. Toronto mum Lindsay Mount, who is the designer behind Tickle Stitch tees and Mobile Mommy slings, kept coming across unique and fabulous Canadian handcrafted goods for kids in her travels, so she decided to create a one-stop online marketplace to showcase them all.
What’ll you find at The Polka Dot Moose? Things to play with, wear, decorate with and more. So if you’re looking for a new baby or birthday gift and you want to shop locally – well, nationally - and handmade why not go a bit dotty at The Polka Dot Moose?
Our polka dot wish list includes Petit Flaneur’s Hand Printed Modern Dollhouse – but for ourselves, not our tots; Superhero Tees with Capes from Tickle Stitch that’ll give any tot great powers; ZukZuk’s Magic Bear Print; and the Organic Quilt Company’s organic cotton baby blankets. We knew that there were a lot of crafty Canadians and we’re glad Mount’s on the hunt for them so we don’t have to be.
Warning: green mamas of any stripe won’t be able to resist Arwen’s adorable Wool Felt Baby Shoes.
And given the economic climate these days, you may want to start off in their Under $25 section.
