get stuffed
When you hang your stocking by the chimney with care this year, why not make sure they’re stuffed with care too? We figure our resolution to shop mindfully for the holidays this year should extend to stockings as well, so we’ve come up with a collection of quality stocking stuffers, many of them made locally, that will provide hours of enjoyment. In fact we have so many great ideas that this is a two parter, starting with ideas for babies and working our way on up. And just a warning, we tend to favour useful items for stockings – especially for babies – but we mix that up with fun stuff, of course.
California Baby Baby and Kid Bath & Body Products: With a relatively high safety rating from the Environmental Working Group, California Baby’s products can stuff a stocking from a child from newborn all the way on up to big kids with products that don’t contain sulfates, DEA, colours, dyes, synthetic fragrances or numbing agents.
Ringley Natural Teethers: These Canadian-made teethers combine natural Canadian Maple with 100% organic cotton terry cloth, two different textures which satisfy all your child’s teething needs.
Drool Bandanas from Bermuda Babies: If you’ve got a drooler, you know how hard it is to accessorize your baby’s outfit with a typical bib. Bermuda Babies’ drool bandanas , which are designed just to keep baby’s chest dry, come in lots of great prints and patterns to solve your problem and they’re made locally.
TruKid’s Hero Stick: Help your tot weather everyday bumps, boo boos and bites with TruKid’s Hero Stick that is a must-have for every diaper bag. It soothes tender skin with natural boo hoo fighters like balm of Gilead, Calendula and Plantain leaf.
Play and Learn Spoons: These got two spoons up from our baby testers who loved the grip, which is the perfect size and shape for baby’s hand. The dual-handle design and lateral guards help make self-feeding fun and easy for babies and the spoons are BPA, phthalate and lead-free. They work well for teething too.
Be sure to look for more stuffing on Monday. And have you caught our previous gift ideas? They included great personalized presents and gifts of experiences rather than stuff.
Still space in your stocking? Here are just some of the products we’ve profiled that we think make great stuffers, there are even more in our archives:
- Art Supplies & Music
- Tail Wags Helmet Covers
- K-Ways
- TruKid Products
- Sweetpea3 Kids MP3 Player
- Oopsy Daisy Products
- Little Humbugs Dolls
- Kid Designed Flash Cards
- Ecojot Notebooks
- Animalz and More
- Bug & Pickle Teething Oil
