E-I-E-I-Oh!

The purveyors of BeautyMark, Vancouver’s worst kept secret for all things beauty, have just opened EIO! Kids on Cambie and 18th. An emporium of fun finds, there are clothes for the zero to six set, but it’s not a clothing store. There are shoes too. But it’s not a shoe store. They carry toys, but it’s not a toy store. Instead it’s a store with a little bit of everything you need for life with kids, including – and possibly most importantly – goodies for you.
A very few of our favourite things are Fleurville’s PVC and Teflon free kids’ backpacks and bags; swanky shoes from Trumpette; BPA, PVC and Lead-free Think bottles and ThinkSport thermos bottles for adults; and AllyKats brilliant (and age-appropriate) lip gloss and bubble wand combo, which would make perfect party favours. You’ll also find all your must-have mum and baby lines from BeautyMark in store including Oopsy Daisy and Substance.
They’re constantly adding new stock, which means you always have an excuse to stop by and it’s a great place to stock up on gifts for all the upcoming birthday parties on your list.
EIO! Kids opened their doors a few weeks ago but tomorrow’s their grand opening soirée from 11 am to 4 pm with face painting, balloon art, ice cream, savoury samples from Meals for Mums, plus sweet treats and, of course, shopping.
Warning: everything in store’s pretty lust-worthy whether you’re three or 33, so it’s unlikely you’ll leave empty handed, especially if you go shopping avec les enfants…
