Talk about multi-tasking

We love products that multi-task, they save us time, they save us space and they’re better for the environment. So when we came across milk lush’s myPad whose uses include (but aren’t limited to) airports, ferries, restaurant dining, tummy time, diaper changing, play dates, picnics, arts and crafts, time outs, grocery cart covers and, in addition to all that, is phthalate-free, non-toxic, vegan, weatherproof, machine washable and cute, well, we had to check it out.

The creation of local mama Ashley Ramsay, each hand-made myPad is a double sided, 26″ square, vinyl pad that’s both funky and uber-functional. Large enough for a play mat (or as a resting place for Bumbo seats), small enough to roll up and throw in your diaper bag, each side of the hard-wearing vinyl is appliquéd with fun and funky designs including flying pigs, mushrooms, cherries, flowers and a moose-elephant hybrid best described as a moosephant perhaps?

And if you are using your MyPad for both diaper changing and picnics, well, it’s good to know it’s anti-bacterial wipe friendly.

milk lush also makes lovely one-of-a-kind myQuilts that tactile babies and their parents will love. They use a low-tech yet effective process to remove most of the toxins from the fabric, and line them with organic cotton batting. And in signature milk lush style they have lots of multi-tasking tabs for stroller and carrier attachment, chewing, attaching soothers…

Look for milk lush at local markets including Portobello West and the Baby and Family Fair in the fall, or check out their Etsy store.

I received these as a shower gift and I love them. They are colourful or printed sock leggings for babies and tots. Makes diaper changes easy instead of regular tights for baby girls.
