Show off your little monkey

Sure, you can organize the myriad pix you have of your tot(s) into photo albums, real or virtual. And yes, you were meaning to go online and make calendars for everyone in your extended family for Christmas. But for many of us the best of intentions often don’t take us very far. For the rest of you – those with their pictures printed, filed, sorted and organized into acid-free, archival paper albums – well, you can stop reading now.
If you could use a little help however, look no farther than MonkeyRed Designs. The creation of stay-at-home Dad, and Aussie import, Greg Thorpe, MonkeyRed takes your assorted pix and turns them into beautifully organized photobooks. His secret? His background is in television and online production, so he has an eye for telling a good tale.
And he’ll tell your story in lots of different ways. You can choose from a range of hardcover, softcover and wirebound photobooks, as well as life posters. You just choose the book you like, decide on a theme – a year in the life, a birthday party, welcoming a new sibling – and send him your pix and he’ll organize them all to your (and his) exacting standards.
Favourites include MonkeyRed’s small softcover photobooks (aka brag books). You get three small (2.6 x 3.5″) books of 20 pages that fit perfectly in purses for grandmas, aunties or other doting relatives to take out and share. Because if you’re anything like us the rellies have been nagging for updated pix of your kids. The ones you never have time to get printed.
MonkeyRed’s framed Life Posters are lovely montages of about a hundred photos. At 11″ x 15″ they come framed or unframed. Though, if you’re using MonkeyRed in the first place we’d recommend going for the framing, because who wants to add that to your to do list?
