Friday will be fun, but Saturday’s where it’s really at for this renowned event. The community parade, one of the city’s best, starts at 10 am and includes pipe bands, antique cars and more. Everett Crowley Park Earth Day Celebration
April 26th, 11 am – 4 pm, 64th & Kerr
Bobs & Lolo will be playing at this fun family event which include tree planting to help in reforestation of this one-time city landfill. There’s a special children’s area as well as environmental displays, dancers, a silent auction, food and more. Call: 604.718.6575 for more details.

Surrey Early Year’s Festival

This event is a great opportunity to get info on family resources and local child and family oriented businesses. Plus kids can keep busy with bubbles, bouncy castles and more. And The Kerplunks – whose bouncy music is popular chez nous – will be playing.

Dan Zanes and Friends
April 27th, 3 pm, Chan Shun Concert Hall, 6265 Crescent Road, UBC
The Chan Centre has teamed up with the Vancouver International Children’s Fest to present kids’ music superstar Dan Zanes. Known for his exuberant folk-rock music for kids (of all ages), you’ll hear sea shanties, Broadway tunes, West Indian folk music, fiddle tunes and more.
