Well Lavish & Lime, the newest entry into our online shopping oeuvre, recreates that feeling online. We went to Willie Cromack of John Henry Bikes on the North Shore who’s also a father of two, and asked him the best way to get kids started riding. When we first broached the topic of funky kids’ rain gear last fall we received a comment from a local mum who wanted to find, and we quote, “something stylish and waterproof for myself. I don’t want to look like I’m ready to hike the West Coast trail every time I head out for a coffee!” Ever since then we’ve been on the hunt for the ultimate mum raincoat and after several flirtations we think we’ve finally found it.

Local mamas are creating so much great stuff that we can hardly keep up. We’ve had our eye on Dress Me Up products from Victoria-based Tressa Brodsky ever since we spotted her amazing range of organic blocks, balls, quilts and hats on Natural Pod a few months ago and our fancy has really been struck by her upcycled and oilcloth products.
