Nurture

When you’re pregnant or a new mum, your body is full of knots and twists and kinks and it can be hard to find time to take care of them. Massage can help, and while it’s not like getting a massage is terribly stressful in the first place, getting there, lining up childcare and finding parking can add a whole new dimension of stress an expectant or new mum doesn’t need. Which is why we love the idea behind Nurture – a mobile massage and wellness studio. By mobile they mean they come to you when and where it’s convenient for you. And we think during baby’s afternoon nap time is pretty darn convenient. . .

Nurture offers a full range of treatments from prenatal massage to reiki and reflexology. They bring the treatments (and the massage table, music and other paraphernalia) to you – evenings, weekends, whenever works for you. And we know for a fact they don’t get thrown by things like baby waking up earlier than expected.

Here are a few ideas we have for taking advantage of their services. Book their partner or parents-to-be package and enjoy a massage a deux while grandma has your tot, or while your kids are asleep. Gather some mama friends together and have Nurture come in and teach you infant massage – it’s a new kind of multi-tasking as you’re socializing, learning and bonding with your babe. They also offer giftcards, which make great shower or baby gifts.

If you have a copy of the Tiny Tots Coupon Book you’ll get $5 off any treatment, and since Nurture’s prices are already competitive, that means you’ll really get a deal. They’ll also be offering massages by donation at the Camp Moomba Yogathon this July.

And speaking of nurturing yourself, we’ve teamed up with Movies for Mommies and we’re declaring next week Mum’s Week – after all we think we deserve more than a day to celebrate all that we do! And we have something extra special and very different in store for you all week long. . .
