Have (safe) mug, will travel…

thinksport bottle

We know you’re all over safer sipping for your tots. But what about yourself? When mums want to safely sip their water they can always opt for a Klean Kanteen, but what about their coffee, tea or lemonade? Shouldn’t we be able to treat ourselves to a drink that’s piping hot or icy cold and safely packaged? After all, it wasn’t ’til we became mothers that we found ourselves repeatedly heating the same cup of tea over and over again the microwave as there just never seemed to be enough time to actually manage to drink very much of it.

Which is why we’re currently enamoured with our thinksport bottle which keeps our tea (and lots of it) warm for hours. The thinksport bottle is a light-weight, stainless steel bottle that’s vacuum sealed to keep your drinks hot or cold. And rumour has it that stainless steel is safer than aluminum bottles featuring an inner coating. It sports a polypropylene spout that’s easy-to-drink from, a handy little internal screen that can be used to keep ice cubes and tea leaves down below when you’re drinking, plus it holds a lot– 750 ml/25 oz to be exact. But we especially love all the things it doesn’t have – no Lead, Cadmium, bisphenol-A, PVC, or phthalates. thinksport bottles are also are free of toxic dyes, carcinogenic materials and health-compromising chemicals.

Their curvy design means they’re easy to hold, as does the (removable) carrying strap, and they’re dishwasher safe. They come in silver and black, and we think they’d make great his and hers Valentine’s Day gifts. After all, what says ‘I Love You’ more than giving the gift of safe sipping and hot tea?

Do you know if the thinksport bottle is dishwasher safe? I have the silver one (just arrived today) and I am not sure if it will change color or not do well in the dishwasher. I’d rather clean it in the dishwasher instead of handwashing if possible. Thank you.

Hi – we put ours in the dishwasher, there is a film that eventually wore off a bit, but the colour didn’t change. We have one silver one and one black one. If you have time/inclination handwashing is best, but if not the dishwasher should be fine. Enjoy!
