Green to Go Bottles

It’s the time of year to look back and reflect. For us it’s been a big year, launching yoyomama and all the juggling that comes with that. And we want to thank you – our smart, funny and faithful readers – who’ve supported us right from the beginning.

Each weekday we let you know about something mama-friendly in Vancouver, everything from kids’ gear to green products to fun events. From now until the New Year we’ll be looking back at our first seven months and recapping the top three topics that had you buzzing. Safe products were a priority this year:

What with the plethora of recalls and worrying stories about lead, plastics containing Bisphenol A and phthalates, you’ve been keeping a close eye on our pieces about products that are safer for your kids.

It started with one of our very first pieces on Sigg Cups , then we discovered the Healthy Canadians site which tracks all food and toy recalls in Canada. We also did a little digging into why plastic’s not so fantastic and explored alternatives.

To up our safety ratings we wanted to let you know about Green to Grow bottles. They’re Bisphenol A, phthalate, lead and PVC-free bottles that start at $10.00. Available locally from Little Earth .

Happy holidays! See you in 2008.
