Christmas music is a bit of guilty pleasure, sure it’s a little cheesy and we’ve heard it all before, but done right its lovely and festive. We’re not talking canned muzac that gives you the jitters in the mall, but classic carols that’ll put you in the mood. Our resident music maven has compiled 12 tunes guaranteed to help the whole family get into the Christmas spirit:

Taking your tots to theatre and live performances is a great way to start some family traditions. And one great family-friendly theatrical tradition is the British pantomime. Pantomime combines singing, dancing, buffoonery, slapstick, in jokes and lots of audience participation with the plot of children’s stories. Customs include the pantomime dame being played by a man in drag, a horse or cow played by two actors in one costume, and lots of double entendres.
