Although it seems awfully early to us, the Circle Craft Christmas Craft Market is this weekend and we have to accept that holiday craft fair season is in full swing. We’ve been debating how to handle the influx of holiday shopping opportunities and decided that, rather than filling up each weekend guide with fairs, we’d devote a page to them. You can bookmark this page or we’ll update you in our daily email when we add new fairs:

Earthsave Canada Holiday Market
December 7th, 7 – 9 pm, SPEC Building, 2150 Maple Street
Here’s the spot to find environmentally-conscious, sustainably-produced, non-addictive, non-sexist, gender-neutral, non-speciesist holiday gifts for whatever you celebrate whether it be the winter solstice, Christmas or whatever. Plus you’ll find cookbooks, sustainably-produced food items, stocking stuffers and more.

Vancouver Craft Mafia Holiday Craft Sale
December 8th, Noon – 6 pm, Blim, 197 East 17th
Entry is by donation and as well as jewelry, handbags, and journals there’ll be door prizes. Featuring Bronsino Designs for Living, Demo Derby, iglubu, Toodlebunny and more.

Farmer’s Winter Market Holiday Market
Saturday, December 15th & Sunday, December 16th, 10 am – 5 pm, Heritage Hall, 3102 Main Street
This is the 12th Annual ever-popular Holiday Market packed with local crafts, prepared food, and seasonal and fresh fare to get you all stocked up for the holidays. Different vendors each day. Admission $2/day.

Green Christmas

December 15th, Blim Arts Centre (197 East 17th), 10:30 am – 6 pm & The Public Lounge (3289 Main Street), 10:30 am – 4 pm
This juried market features BuenoStyle, Bring Your Own Bag, Contexture Design, Lemonade, Pretty Pleased and more. Both locations are connected through a back hallway.

And now over to you – would you like to know about craft fairs outside of Vancouver? If so let us know. And if you have a craft fair you’d like us to list, email us the details (including a link if at all possible): info@yoyomama.ca

You’re invited to the International Village Gifts & Craft Fair from September 19-20, 2009! The purpose of the event is to showcase local, multicultural artists with hand-made and original work. There will also be a workshop on stage where artists are invited to share some secrets of how their work is produced, with live demonstrations.
It will be an indoor event with ample parking. The website is being developed but please feel free to call us for questions. We look forward to having you there! Free admission!
