The skin they’re in

Last week we covered the skin you’re in, and this week we have some suggestions for organic products to add into your baby’s beauty regime. We’ve done some testing and settled on a few favourite lines in a few different price ranges:

Earth’s Best Organic Baby Care (yup, just like the baby food) — this line contains everything from baby oil to baby wash. It’s all 70% organic and hypo-allergenic and the prices are only a little above your average drugstore brand. Our favourite is their Lavender 2-in-1 Shampoo & Body Wash. Find out more on their website and find Earth’s Best at Capers.

Weleda Baby Care — tailoring their organic and biodynamic products specifically for baby’s super sensitive skin, this is a mid-price line with everything your babe could possibly need. Our favourite pick is the fluoride-free Children’s Tooth Gel. Find out more on their website and find Weleda at Capers and Choices among others.

Little Twig – lovable for their packaging alone, this higher-end line developed in tandem with pediatricians and real-life parents, offers fun baby bath and body lines. Our kids are just a little bit sensitive (and so is their skin!) so we’re happy that Little Twig has added extra-mild, unscented versions of their Baby Wash, Bubble Bath and Body Milk. Find out more on their website and find Little Twig at Dandelion Kids and Belly & Beyond in Vancouver.

Natural PodJuly’s big share: We’re modeling such good sharing that we can’t understand why our kids have so much trouble with it. When you sign up for yoyomama in July you’ll be entered to win a $200 gift certificate from Natural Pod, a great local online source for natural items that meet all your kid’s needs from teething to playtime.

Me too! Already a subscriber? Don’t worry, we’re not leaving you out. Every time you use the forward feature at the bottom of your daily email to share yoyomama with a friend, you’ll be entered in our contest too.

And congratulations to Nancy Riesco who won Baby Lotion and Head-to-Toe Baby Wash from Bug & Pickle in our June contest. And just so you know, rather than have our toddler pick a name out of a hat, we’re very scientific and we pick our winners using a random number generator. And thanks to Bug & Pickle for helping to get yoyomama off to such a great start and to Natural Pod, for their great contest for July.
