Welcome to yoyomama’s inaugural email. And because we promised we wouldn’t let community centre registration time pass you by again, never let it be said we don’t live up to our word – so here’s your first heads up from us — it’s that time again!
A few community centres, Riley Park and the Roundhouse among them, started registration in March, but for the majority of community centres across the city you can register on June 4th or 5th. Visit the Vancouver Park Board site for an exact date for your local community centre. And may we suggest registering online? It beats queuing up plus it’s a lot easier to get the kids engaged in an activity, and then go online rather than dragging everyone and their snacks and toys and sunscreen with you…
And this time of year we’re hoping to groove on a combination of sunshine and water, so we’re thinking that swimming lessons at one of our six outdoor pools would hit the spot.
And don’t forget about the Children’s Fitness Tax Credit if you’re going for active over arty.
