Point Grey Fiesta

The West side of the city will be hopping with fairs, farms and fun this weekend:

Point Grey Fiesta
Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 22 – 24th, centered around Trimble Park (8th & Trimble)
This start-of-summer celebration in Point Grey is chock-a-block with fun. There’s a carnival, parades, live performances, sidewalk sales, dunk tanks, lawn bowling and more. Pretty much something for everyone! For full details check out their website: www.pointgreyfiesta.org

UBC Farm Market
Saturday, June 23rd, 6182 South Campus Road (map), 9 am – 1 pm
The produce available at the UBC market has traveled from no farther than the nearby fields and is mostly picked on the day of the market. Talk about local and fresh. Working towards organic certification, the UBC farm produces everything from artichokes to zucchini. For full details check out their website: www.landfood.ubc.ca/ubcfarm

Portabello West Market
Sunday, June 24th, 12 noon – 7 pm, The Rocky Mountaineer Station – 1755 Cottrell Street (just off Terminal Avenue behind Home Depot)
Inspired by the London market of the same name, this month’s local Portabello Market is bursting with swag for babes including MoBoleez modern bonnets for breastfeeding babes, gorgeousbaby slings, as well as super cosy bibs and blankets from Green Bean Baby. The best part? There’s lots of great loot for mums too, including art, accessories, bags, jewelry and fashion. . .ah. . .For full details check out their website: www.portobellowest.com
